Catholic Police Association

Scholarship Program:

 

 

The Catholic Police Association is proud to offer its first annual High School Scholarship program to assist students wishing to further their Catholic Education. 

All incoming freshman entering the following Marion County Catholic high schools are eligible to apply for the scholarship:

Bishop Chatard High School,

Roncalli High School,

Father Thomas Scecina Memorial High School,

and Cardinal Ritter Sr. High School


The scholarship is available to 8th grade students preparing to enter high school. 

The applicant must agree to the following guidelines:

1: a review of his/her middle school records

2: must receive a positive review including, but not limited to,

Grade Point Average, Attendance, and Disciplinary Records

3: must be able to provide records of community involvement. 

 

There will be one non-renewable $500 scholarship for each high school listed above.   

All completed applications must be turned in by the date below, and must be accompanied by a

letter of recommendation from a counselor, teacher, coach, priest or other significant person in

the applicant’s life.

In addition, the applicants must write an essay, 500 words or less, outlining

their education and spiritual goals for their high school experience.

Please include a copy of your 8th grade transcript and a letter of acceptance from one of the listed high schools.

Finalists for the scholarship may be asked to participate in interviews to discuss their essays.

 

Applications must be postmarked by April 23, 2010
